Plans and Permits
Traffic Management Plans & Traffic Guidance Schemes are required when working near roads or footpaths and are a requirement of the Coordinating Road Authority. VicRoads & Council require that traffic management plans are developed by certified staff as part of a permit process and comply with the Road Safety Act 1986, the Australian Standards 1742.3 and the Road Management Act 2004 Code of Practice.
Our planning department must communicate with various stakeholders around a client’s project that include VicRoads, Council, Yarra Trams, Transurban, Bus Company’s and Emergency services to achieve relevant permits and consents.

Use of alternative routes if detours are required
Movement of other road users through worksite i.e. pedestrians, cyclists
Impact to public transport
Duration and timing of works
Authorisation and consents from relevant stakeholders
Any amendments to the traffic management plan requested by coordinating road authority
